My dog/cat is really matted, can you brush it out and not shave it?
Severe matting can be painful and brushing it out might hurt your pet. In such cases, the most humane option is often a short clip to remove the mats and start fresh. This ensures your pets comfort and safety. Afterward, regular grooming and maintenance can help prevent matting in the future. Our team will always prioritise your pets well-being and discuss the best solution with you!
When can I book my puppy for their first groom?
You can start grooming after their second vaccination, typically around 10–12 weeks of age. However, we recommend waiting until they’re fully vaccinated (usually around 16 weeks) for more comprehensive grooming to ensure they’re fully protected.
Starting early helps them get used to the grooming process in a calm and positive way. We’ll make it a gentle and fun experience to build their confidence and set them up for a lifetime of stress-free grooming!
How long does the grooming process usually take?
The grooming process typically takes 1–2 hours, depending on your dog’s size, coat condition, and the services needed. For puppies, older dogs, or special needs pets, we may take extra time to ensure they’re comfortable. If it’s going to take a little longer, we’ll keep you updated and treat your pet with the utmost care throughout their visit!
Can I stay with my pet during their groom?
Unfortunately, not. Dogs and cats tend to be calmer and better behaved when their owners aren’t present. Having you nearby can make your dog overly excited, causing them to bark, move around, or try to reach you. This disrupts the grooming process and increases the risk of accidents, especially when we’re using sharp tools around sensitive areas.
Your pet’s safety is our top priority, and we’ll ensure they’re comfortable and cared for throughout the groom!

Why is a deposit taken at the time of booking?
To secure your pet’s appointment and ensure our team is fully prepared to provide the best care, we kindly request a 50% deposit. This helps us manage our schedule and reduce the impact of last-minute cancellations or no-shows. If you need to reschedule, the deposit will be applied to your new appointment, with no additional 50% surcharge, as long as you provide at least 24 hours’ notice. We appreciate your understanding and support in keeping things running smoothly!
